Jamie Robinson is an attorney at Berry Law based in Washington, DC, with six years of experience navigating complex criminal and civil matters. Jamie now focuses his practice on representing veterans, ensuring the Department of Veterans Affairs complies with its legal obligations and grants the benefits that former service members have rightfully earned.
Jamie’s path to legal advocacy began at Virginia Tech, where he studied International Relations with a focus on world policy and global development. His undergraduate coursework sparked a deep curiosity about global systems and policy, leading him to enroll in law school to effect tangible change. While attending the Catholic University School of Law, Jamie distinguished himself as the Managing Note and Comment Editor on the Journal of Law and Technology. He also gained significant experience in environmental law through internships with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Oceana, where he worked on both local and federal issues.
Following law school, Jamie honed his litigation and research skills through two prestigious clerkships at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He first clerked for the Honorable Michael L. Rankin, researching a wide array of issues including contract disputes and Section 1983 violations. He then served as a clerk for the Honorable Rainey R. Brandt, focusing on criminal matters ranging from possessory offenses to homicide.
An experienced practitioner in federal court, Jamie previously practiced vaccine law in the United States Court of Federal Claims, where he held the government accountable and fought for individuals injured by vaccines covered under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. He also served as appellate counsel representing the Secretary of Veterans Affairs before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Today, Jamie uses that high-level experience to advocate for veterans—a mission that is personal to him, as he seeks to honor the legacy of service left by his grandfather.
In his free time, Jamie is an avid fan of “the beautiful game,” especially his beloved Futbol Club Barcelona. He also enjoys listening to live music, reading, and spending time with his wife and their two cats, Cleo and Clifford.
