Veteran Case Manager Sean Shepherd retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of military service. Sean’s reputation for strong leadership, strategic planning, reliability, and overall mission accomplishment makes him the Marine you want on your team in any battle.
Sean deployed to Afghanistan and fought in Operation Enduring Freedom. Sean received multiple personal awards to include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal along with many other personal and unit commendations. Sean’s work with clients reflects the same excellence displayed during his military service. He knows first-hand the struggle Veterans often encounter during the VA claims process.
“I approach my work with clients by putting myself in their boots, as if I am the Veteran on the other end of the phone trying to get the VA to acknowledge the benefits I’m entitled to”. It is important for Veterans to have someone in their corner. Someone who understands the sacrifice and experiences of military service. Shared interests and experiences matter when strategizing the best way to win against the VA.
Sean earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. Sean completed his degree while balancing the demands of participating in an Operational Planning Team for overseas exercises.
In his free time, Sean serves on the Board of Directors for Wrestling with Character, a non-profit, year-round youth wrestling organization. He also enjoys coaching his son’s wrestling and football teams. He also enjoys golfing and completing home improvement projects.
