Chellsie Willmes is a dedicated disability attorney at Berry Law Firm whose career has been shaped by advocacy for vulnerable populations and a strong commitment to service. She earned her Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 2017 and also completed a Master’s Degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution—training that informs her strategic and client-focused approach to disability claims.
Prior to law school, Ms. Willmes worked as an investigator for Child Protective Services, gaining firsthand experience with high-stakes cases involving trauma and accountability. That background laid the foundation for a legal career focused on protecting individuals who need strong and effective advocates.
Ms. Willmes has practiced in Family Law, Social Security Disability, and Veterans Disability Law. She has successfully argued numerous Social Security Disability cases in federal court and brings that appellate experience and meticulous attention to detail to every case she handles. Her work reflects a deep understanding of medical evidence, vocational issues, and administrative error—skills that translate directly to identifying weaknesses in VA decisions and building compelling appeals.
She now focuses her practice on Veteran’s Disability claims and is passionate about helping veterans secure the benefits they earned through their service. Clients appreciate her clear communication, persistence, and ability to navigate the VA system with both technical skill and genuine compassion.
Outside of work, Ms. Willmes enjoys travel and adventure. She has bungee jumped from the highest bungee point in South America and paraglided over the Chicamocha Canyon in San Gil, Colombia. She brings that same sense of boldness and determination to her advocacy for the veteran community.
