Angela St. Pierre

Veterans Disability Attorney

VA Accredited Attorney

Angela St. Pierre, a Washington, D.C.-based attorney, specializes in complex litigation and VA disability claims. Angela aggressively represents Veterans in disability claims and appeals at every stage, from the Department of Veterans Affairs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Angela is recognized for her outstanding client-centered practice and approach to navigating difficult legal landscapes. She brings to Berry Law a reputation built on client-centered advocacy. Angela ensures her clients’ goals and vision are pursued with precision and purpose, while leveraging her litigation experience to achieve strategic, result-driven outcomes.

Before joining Berry Law, Angela practiced primarily before the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, representing government executives in complex federal employment litigation matters. She also assisted in matters before the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Earlier in her career, while working with criminal defendants, Angela honed her ability to listen deeply to clients’ stories and translate their experiences into effective legal advocacy.

While earning her law degree at American University Washington College of Law, Angela focused on immigration advocacy. As a student attorney in the Immigrant Justice Clinic, she represented LGBTQ+ clients in naturalization proceedings and defended detained clients in bond, asylum, and appeal matters. She also served detainees nationwide living in a crisis during her time at the ABA Commission on Immigration, and she advocated for migrant farmworkers in Vermont with the Milk with Dignity Standards Council. Additionally, she served in litigation roles as a law clerk and summer associate at a Washington, D.C. based civil rights firm.

During her undergraduate studies, Angela focused on children and armed conflict, exploring how war profoundly affects individuals and communities. Spending extensive time in Sri Lanka, she witnessed the lasting impacts of armed conflict on soldiers, families, and civilian populations. These experiences inspired a lifelong commitment to helping those affected by crisis, which is reflected by the collage of communities Angela has served. Angela represents Veterans and their families because she believes their service, dedication, and sacrifice should not be left behind.

Angela’s roots are planted in Northern Vermont, where she grew up on a dairy farm milking cows and making maple syrup. Her upbringing instilled a strong work ethic, resilience, sense of community and family, and a commitment to hard work, values she sees reflected in her Veterans she proudly serves. Growing up on a farm and in a small town nurtured her love of helping those in her community and advocating for animals. Outside of her legal work, Angela looks for ways to make a positive difference in both the people and animal communities she is involved in. She has volunteered with animal rights groups such as the Humane Society of the United States and Animal Outlook. In her free time, Angela enjoys getting out of the city, spending time with her family and her dog Asha, and enjoying the Green Mountain State she calls home.
