Rob Willard is an accomplished attorney with more than 22 years of legal experience, dedicated to serving veterans and individuals in need of strong advocacy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history, with honors, from the University of Missouri, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Harry S. Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri.
Rob began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, later serving as counsel for the Public Administrator’s Office, where he represented individuals with disabilities as guardian and conservator. He also practiced Social Security Disability law, gaining deep insight into the challenges faced by those whose service or circumstances left lasting impacts. Witnessing the sacrifices of military veterans inspired Rob to focus his practice on helping those who have given so much to the nation.
A deep personal connection to military service runs through Rob’s family history. His relatives have served from the Revolutionary War through his father’s active-duty service after Korea and reserve service during Vietnam. Though his father passed away many years ago, Rob views his work for veterans as a tribute to him and to the generations of his family who have worn the uniform.
Rob’s lifelong commitment to service and leadership is reflected in numerous honors and accomplishments. He is an Eagle Scout, an All-American in Speech and Debate, and a former Student Body President at the University of Missouri. In law school, he earned recognition on the Dean’s List. His professional accolades include the Leadership Northland Award from the Kansas City Northland Chamber of Commerce, being named among the “40 Under Forty” by Ingram’s Magazine, and serving as President of the Platte County Bar Association. Rob has also demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, having been elected Platte County Treasurer, a role in which he served for more than 12 years.
Outside of his professional achievements, Rob has a unique personal story—he is a twin, a fact that came as a surprise to his family and doctor, who discovered it only moments after his birth.
Rob brings to his practice a wealth of experience, a deep respect for those who serve, and a lifelong dedication to justice and public service.
