Joe Loukota

Chief Training Officer

VA Accredited Attorney

Joe Loukota serves as the Chief Training Officer at Berry Law, where his professional mission is inextricably linked to his personal history of service. Joe leads the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs, equipping the firm’s attorneys and case managers with the specialized skills necessary to navigate the complexities of Veterans Disability Benefits and Personal Injury law.

Joe’s dedication to advocacy is rooted in his six years of service in the United States Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic (Safety Equipment). After leaving the service in 2012, Joe witnessed firsthand the bureaucratic hurdles his fellow veterans faced when trying to access earned benefits. This experience—seeing resilient service members struggle with confusing forms and shifting regulations—became the primary motivator for his legal career. He pursued his Juris Doctor with a singular focus: ensuring no veteran has to fight the system alone.

Before stepping into his current leadership role, Joe served as a VA Disability Attorney at Berry Law from 2019 to 2022. During this tenure, he worked on the front lines of veterans’ advocacy, mastering the nuances of VA regulations and the appeals process. His transition to Chief Training Officer in early 2025 allowed him to scale this expertise, moving from individual representation to shaping the professional growth of the entire firm.

In his day-to-day operations, Joe conducts live training for new VA Disability practitioners and develops advanced refresher courses. Beyond technical legal training, Joe oversees essential professional development in ethics, client experience, and time management.

By combining his legal acumen with the discipline and resilience he learned in the Navy, Joe Loukota ensures that Berry Law remains a leader in veterans’ advocacy. He remains a steadfast advocate for those who served, dedicated to honoring their sacrifice through a standard of legal representation that is as compassionate as it is skilled.
