Claire Kreiger is a Veteran’s Disability Attorney at Berry Law Firm who brings a lifetime of military perspective and a decade of litigation experience to her practice. Growing up in a large, proud military family, Claire’s life was shaped by service—both of her grandfathers served, one in the Korean War and one in World War II, and her father served 23 years as a Navy pilot. Having lived in eight different states and spent three years in Sicily, Italy, Claire’s childhood was immersed in the military community, from shopping at commissaries and the NEX to participating in summer MWR programs. This life instilled in her a deep pride and empathy for those who serve and the families who support them.
Claire earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2012. During her undergraduate education, she became interested in studying the law, inspired by two business law professors whose passion for assisting others through the legal system left a lasting impression. She moved to Naples, Florida in the fall of 2012 to attend Ave Maria School of Law.
During law school, Claire distinguished herself through meaningful experiences that shaped her legal career. She interned with the Guardian ad Litem Program in Collier County, Florida, obtained a judicial internship with the Honorable Sheri Polster Chappell at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and served on the Executive Board as an Executive Editor for the Law Review.
After graduating from Ave Maria School of Law in May 2015, Claire was admitted to the Virginia Bar and began her legal career as an associate attorney at Tobias Law, P.L.L.C. in December 2015. The firm later became Dougherty Tobias Iszard, Northern Virginia Law, P.C., and Claire eventually served as a senior attorney at Tobias Iszard, PC until April 2025, gaining nearly ten years of litigation experience.
Claire married into the Marine Corps in 2020, which reignited her desire to serve those who serve our country in a more tangible way with her law degree. After a decade of family law litigation, she sought out Berry Law to pursue more wins for Veterans. At Berry Law, Claire specializes in deep diving into Veterans’ files and connecting the dots with information the VA previously missed for service connection. While she has not served in uniform herself, her life has been centered around military life, and she understands the sacrifices and challenges faced by Veterans and their families. This provides her with unique insight and empathy when working with Veterans.
Outside of her legal work, Claire’s greatest pride is her two young children. When she is not writing appeals, she is chasing them around a park or exploring new adventures with her family by her side.
