Andrew Wilcox earned both his bachelor’s degree and his law degree from the University of Missouri. Over the past 13 years, he has cultivated deep expertise in administrative and regulatory law—a field that serves as the foundation for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ complex adjudication system.
His extensive background includes serving as an Appeals Referee for the State of Missouri, a role that provided him with a unique “behind-the-bench” perspective on how administrative decisions are made and evaluated. This experience gives Andrew keen insight into VA practice; he understands exactly how to navigate the intricate web of federal regulations, anticipate the VA’s arguments, and identify what evidence is necessary to overcome the bureaucratic hurdles veterans often face. Having spent years evaluating cases from a neutral standpoint, he now applies that knowledge to build more resilient appeals for his clients, using his insider understanding of administrative processes to their advantage.
Andrew’s passion for representing veterans is rooted in a profound sense of reciprocity and justice. He believes that because veterans have fought to protect the freedoms and safety of all Americans, it is only fair that they have a dedicated advocate to fight for them when they return home. For Andrew, securing the benefits a veteran has earned is not just a legal task—it is a way to honor their sacrifice and ensure they receive the support they deserve after giving so much in service to their country.
When he is not advocating for veterans, Andrew stays active through running and enjoys spending his time with his Great Dane, Tina
