Kevin Mitchell brings a unique blend of personal passion and insider expertise to the practice of Veterans Law.
Kevin is a 2005 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Kevin went on to earn a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of St. Thomas in 2009, where he was elected as President of the Black Law Students Association and participated in the Social Justice Clinic. Kevin became a licensed practitioner in 2011.
For Kevin, representing Veterans is more than a career, it is a personal calling. Coming from a family with a deep history of military service, he understands the immense sacrifices made by those who serve. This dedication is backed by a professional “insider” perspective: having previously worked within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for 16 years, Kevin possesses a keen understanding of the bureaucratic hurdles and complexities Veterans face.
Kevin is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). Kevin is committed to ensuring that those who protected our country receive the benefits they have earned.
When Kevin isn’t fighting for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife (an Airforce Veteran) and children. He is an avid reader and loves his gym time!
