William is single with two daughters ages 26 and 21 and 1 granddaughter  age 4. In his spare time like’s spending time with family and friends, Cycling, Concerts and Travel.

Bill previously owned (1996-2016) a business for 20 years in the Tobacco and Tobacco related products as well as being partners in two other company’s.

William was also the Chairman for Sanitation and Improvement District number 7 in Columbus Nebraska from 2014 – 2015, were he was also a project manager for the Dike Improvement project that was mandated by FEMA  to comply with the 500 year flood plane guide line re-mapping

William’s previous military experience.

Enlisted in the Army National Guard in August 1985.  Was assigned to Co. C 1-134th Infantry Division as a Infantry Man until September 2001. Became acting 1SGT in overseen and guided a Infantry draw down and train and stand up to a Transportation Company. 2003 became a Platoon Sergeant for the 1075th Transportation Company.

July 2004 Activated and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraqi Express) assigned to 7th Group 101st Airborne Division, 106th Transportation Battalion 1075th Transportation Company as a Platoon Sergeant, assigned as the Company Truck Master provided over 300 convoy missions and combined company milage of Five Million Miles over a 12 month period. Upon demobilizing in the fall of 2005 returned back to the 1075th Trans and retired in March of 2006 as Sergeant First Class, and received the following awards and citations.

Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component  Achievement Medal(5th Medal), National Defense Service Medal (2nd), Global War on Termism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal (2), Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M Device, NCO Professional Development Ribbon(3), Army Service Ribbon, Component Overseas Training Ribbon (3rd),  Drivers and Mechanic Badge.
