Sam Martinez

CLCW Task Force

My name is Sam Martinez and I was a Marine for four and a half years stationed in 29 Palms. I did one deployment with 3rd battalion 4th Marines to Amman Jordan where our platoon was tasked to help train the Jordanian Army. After that deployment I crossed decks to 3rd battalion 7th marines where I did two deployments to Afghanistan. I was a Marine from 01/14/10 until 07/14/14. I was an 0311, Corporal and truly enjoyed every part of the Marine Corps and the family I was a part of.

I am a single father to two beautiful boys, Noe 5, and Lorenzo 4, who I enjoy spending all my free time with.  I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in management degree with the University of Phoenix. I am currently located in Murrieta California but originally form Texas. My entire family lives out in Texas so in California it is just me and my children. After my divorce and raising two boys and losing my job things became hard for me but after hearing about Berry Law and reaching out to old buddies of mine everything quickly got better. I enjoy being a part of this type of family again and helping other veterans that I can relate to. Being a veteran hasn’t always been easy but when surrounded with other veterans, it makes me feel right at home which is why I enjoy working with and helping other veterans.
