Berry Law, the law firm renowned for not only representing veterans but also hiring them, has been named to Inc.’s 2023 Best in Business for Veteran Support list.

Compiled annually, the Best in Business list names businesses that have had the most substantial positive impact on their communities, industries, the environment, and society as a whole. Berry Law is recognized for Inc.’s Veteran Support impact category, which acknowledges companies that dedicate substantial time and resources to supporting America’s veterans. Unlike Inc.’s similar Inc. 5000, which names the 5,000 fastest growing companies in America, the Best in Business list is restricted to only 215 companies.

“The thing that connects all of you is a higher purpose, and we are so pleased to be able to recognize that. Actually, we’re grateful,” said Eric Hagerman, Special Projects Editor for Inc. Media, in a statement issued to the businesses on the list. Hagerman noted that the judging process was “very competitive.” Berry Law is distinguished for providing financial support, leadership, internal programs, scholarships, and raising community awareness to make a tangible difference in the lives of veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

Berry Law was founded in 1965, and through two generations of the Berry family has been dedicated to representing active and retired members of the armed services. John Berry, is himself a US Army veteran who was deployed to Bosnia for Operation Joint Forge as a platoon leader. He later served as a Company Commander in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to providing legal representation to veterans, Berry Law is also known for employing them. Earlier this year, the firm received the 2023 Hire Vets Medallion from U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su. Berry Law was also named by the Military Times as one of 2023’s best employers for veterans in America.
