Berry Law Welcomes Victoria LaVilla as Veterans Disability Attorney

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lincoln, NE – October 3, 2024 – Berry Law is proud to announce the addition of Victoria LaVilla as a Veterans Disability Attorney. Victoria brings valuable experience from her time as an Assistant District Attorney in Texas, where she advocated for victims of crime and ensured their safety. Her commitment to justice and passion for helping others make her a strong advocate for Veterans seeking disability benefits.

Victoria’s legal career began in January 2022 after earning her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, Houston, in December 2020. During her time at the District Attorney’s office, Victoria played a crucial role in the Warrants Division, collaborating with law enforcement to expedite Emergency Protective Orders (EPO) for victims of assault, ensuring their safety even after hours. Her experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments will serve her well as she transitions to representing Veterans in their fight for VA disability benefits.

“I loved the idea of being able to help others with my education,” Victoria shared. “It seems that whenever someone needs an attorney, it is because they have a big assignment ahead of them, and it is usually a difficult and emotional process. Being able to serve someone by helping them reach their goal brings me joy.”

John S. Berry, Army Veteran and Attorney at Berry Law, expressed his enthusiasm about Victoria joining the team: “Victoria’s dedication and experience as a former Assistant District Attorney will be a great asset to our Veterans. Knowing how to build a case is an important skill when developing a Veteran’s disability claim.”

Veterans Practice Section Lead Jerusha Hancock also looks forward to having Victoria on the team: “Victoria’s passion for advocacy shines through everything she does. We’re excited to have her on the team to represent our Veterans.”

In her role at Berry Law, Victoria will focus on representing Veterans in VA disability claims and appeals, using her skills to ensure that those who have served receive the benefits they deserve.
