Honoring Heroes with the Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders

The Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders, with around 3,500 members across the state, dedicate themselves to honoring our nation’s heroes. Averaging five missions a week, they stand with flag lines, provide escorts, and perform military send-offs and welcome homes. Each mission holds immense meaning, but a recent one was especially heartfelt, as they laid former state Captain Clifford Leach to rest. Current state Captain Scott Knudsen led this tribute, emphasizing the honor and respect the group holds for those who served.

A Legacy of Service and Compassion

Clifford Leach, a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, left a lasting impact on the Patriot Guard Riders and Gold Star families alike. Known for his honor, pride, and compassion, Cliff set the foundation for the Nebraska chapter, making sure every Gold Star family felt supported and remembered. Members like Scott Knudsen and countless others continue to carry out his legacy with the same dedication and commitment, honoring the tradition Leach began 16 years ago.
