Berry Law Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, August 7, 2020 – Super Lawyers recently recognized Berry Law attorneys John S. Berry, , Justin Kalemkiarian, and Seth Morris with their annual award, marking the fourth consecutive year that Berry Law has had attorneys selected to the prestigious list. For the 2020 Great Plains list, John S. Berry, was honored as a Super Lawyer, while Justin Kalemkiarian and Seth Morris were recognized as Rising Stars.

Each year, Super Lawyers awards attorneys based on peer nominations, evaluations, and independent research. They select only the highest and most impressive attorneys for this award, creating an outstanding, well diverse group of attorneys. During the selection process, they go through a 4-step process to identify which attorneys are worthy of the award.

The first step they go through is the nomination process, where they receive nominations through surveys, from peers, and through the thorough analysis of the Super Lawyer research team. After they receive nominations, they begin researching their nominees and begin to rank them. Once that process is complete, their panel begins to evaluate additional candidates and add those to their rankings. Finally, once their research is finished, they make their final selection and include attorneys from small, medium, and large firms to create a well diverse group of attorneys. Placing them in the Super Lawyers list and Rising Stars list.

The strict nomination and research process ensures that only the best attorneys are awarded. Of those nominated, only 5% of attorneys are selected to be Super Lawyers list, while only 2.5% of candidates under the age of 40 are named to the Rising Star list.

John S. Berry practices primarily in criminal defense, assisting clients in some of the toughest battles in their life. John is a past president of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association and is a fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. He has lectured in areas of criminal defense, trial skills, and Veterans disability appeals. This marks John’s 3^rd consecutive year being recognized by Super Lawyers.

Justin Kalemkiarian represents clients facing criminal charges in both State and Federal Courts. He practices primarily in criminal defense and related civil and license-defense cases, emphasizing drug crimes, Title IX allegations, white-collar crimes, and professional license defense. Justin was also named a Great Plains Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2019.

Seth Morris has trial experience in civil and criminal cases at both the State and Federal levels. Primarily handling a variety of criminal defense cases, this is Seth’s first year being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
