Service connection for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was initially granted at 30% effective February 12, 2007, and later increased to 70% from December 29, 2020, due to alcohol-induced major neurocognitive disorder, ultimately reaching 100% from September 11, 2021, while basic eligibility for Dependents’ Educational Assistance based on permanent and total disability status was also established from the same date.
