Service connection is granted for the cause of death, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood (with a 50 percent evaluation effective October 25, 2006), coronary artery disease (with a 60 percent evaluation effective October 18, 2011), hypertension (with a 0 percent evaluation effective October 18, 2011), and residuals of right wrist injury (with a 10 percent evaluation effective October 25, 2006); basic eligibility for Dependents’ Educational Assistance based on permanent and total disability status is established from June 18, 2016.
