Service connection is granted for migraine headaches at 50 percent, obstructive sleep apnea at 50 percent, chronic hepatosplenomegaly (fatty liver) at 10 percent, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) at 10 percent, effective from different dates. Basic eligibility for Dependents’ Educational Assistance based on permanent and total disability status is established from March 30, 2018. Additionally, the evaluation of thrombocytopenia and leukopenia with pancytopenia is continued, with pancytopenia being granted as secondary to the service-connected disability of diabetes mellitus type II with diabetic retinopathy at 0 percent disabling, effective from August 2, 2016.
