Service connections were granted for the cause of death, coronary artery disease at 30 percent, diabetes mellitus type II with complications at 20 percent, and diabetic neuropathy in both lower extremities at 10 percent each, all effective May 26, 2015, for accrued benefit purposes; entitlement to special monthly compensation for loss of use of a creative organ from the same date, and basic eligibility for Dependents’ Educational Assistance was established from March 13, 2018.
