CLEVELAND, OH – As Former US Navy SEAL, Marcus Luttrell, took the stage at the Republican National Convention to defend veterans and their rights. Not long into the speech, he quickly eschewed the teleprompter and roused the crowd with a fiery speech supporting America’s veterans.
A combat veteran, Luttrell’s actions in Afghanistan and Iraq formed the basis for the #1 New York Times bestselling book and subsequent Hollywood movie, “Lone Survivor”.
Not one to mince words, Luttrell’s message was clear:

He continued, “That’s what was promised and that’s what’s deserved. Period. Even when the system doesn’t take care of our boys, the citizens step up and start foundations and programs to help the wounded and the families of the fallen.”
Taking the lead himself, Luttrell established the Lone Survivor Foundation in 2010 with the mission to “restore, empower, and renew hope for our wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support.”
