Jon Hoeser’s story is one of service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Beginning his journey at Fort Benning, Georgia, Jon answered the call to serve as an infantryman. His dedication to our nation saw him stationed with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, during his military service from 2013 to 2016. Though his service was cut short by a service-related condition, Jon’s indomitable spirit remained a guiding force in his life.
A Legacy of Service and Strength
Jon’s military career was marked by his courage and determination, values that defined him as a soldier and a person. Tragically, Jon’s life ended on December 18, 2023, but his legacy continues to inspire. He was laid to rest with honors at the Omaha National Cemetery, where his memory lives on as a testament to resilience and an enduring love for his family and friends.

Today, Jon is posthumously honored with the Mission Service Medal, a reflection of the values he embodied: courage, determination, and excellence. Members of the Hoeser family accepted this tribute on his behalf, ensuring his contributions will never be forgotten.
