Army Officers Do Not Carry Umbrellas

Army Officers Do Not Carry Umbrellas

In the Army we used to say ”if it ain’t raining, we ain’t training.” Prior to arriving at the University of Nebraska Law School for an attorney panel about advocating for veterans, John Berry got soaked. The panel consisted of former Omaha Mayor, congressman, and infantryman Hal Daub and Veteran Advocate, and Purple Heart Recipient Jim Cada. Berry was the only one that did not bring an umbrella- When asked why, Berry stated “Army officers do not carry umbrellas.”
