Travis Koochel is a Case Manager at Berry Law, where he combines his background in social work and passion for helping Veterans to advocate for those seeking the benefits they are entitled to. A decorated Veteran himself, Travis was awarded the Purple Heart in 2003 while serving in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and has dedicated his career to supporting others who have served. His previous experience includes working as a social worker for the VA and as a Veterans Benefits Advisor at Fort Carson, where he gained extensive knowledge about the challenges Veterans face.
Travis earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work, graduating from Kansas State University in 2014 and Wichita State University in 2015. One of his proudest professional moments was assisting a homeless Veteran and his father in securing stable housing and obtaining a 100% Permanent & Total Service-Connected disability rating through a referral to a VSO.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys golfing, weightlifting, running, and spending evenings walking with his wife, Linsey. He is actively involved in the Veteran community, attending events and supporting organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, DAV, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Travis approaches his role at Berry Law with the philosophy of treating others as he would like to be treated and is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those he serves.
