Maria Bohannon Mickey

Case Manager

Maria is an Air Force spouse and proud niece to Vietnam and Gulf War Veterans. She views her duty in helping clients secure their earned VA benefits an honor.

“I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the sacrifices our Veterans have made. It’s due to their bravery and perseverance that it’s possible for me to enjoy the rights and freedoms I have as an individual. It’s more important than ever that our Veterans receive continued support and gratitude from the country they served.”

Maria brings her passion for serving America’s heroes to Berry Law. Her professional background includes working for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she helped Veterans and their families navigate confusing VA bureaucracy. Maria uses the skills and expertise she gained there to advocate for clients throughout the claims process.

“I take the time to know my clients, and I treat them as I would treat my family members, with care and respect.”

A persistent high achiever, Maria possesses the motivation to fight until a battle is won. She is the recipient of professional performance awards in her industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, where she was inducted as a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys soaking up the company of her two children as they try new hobbies and learn to cook authentic Mexican dishes together. She has three fur babies and is known to smuggle in stray pets without her husband’s notice. Maria can also frequently be found spending time with her aunt and uncle on her family’s ranch in Texas.
